The Cool PHX Sky Train!
- It’s a FREE robot train with no driver—it drives itself!
- It runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week—even while you’re sleeping!
- The train goes over a 100-foot tall bridge that airplanes can drive UNDER—even giant Boeing 747s fit underneath!
- It’s the first bridge in the WORLD built over an active airplane taxiway
- Trains come every 3-5 minutes
Cool History
- The airport opened way back in 1928—almost 100 years ago!
- Phoenix bought the airport in 1935 for only $100,000 (today a single airplane costs way more than that!)
- People used to call it “The Farm” because it was out in the middle of nowhere
